HBS Protective Coatings is Irelands leading Industrial Coating Specialist. We offer an extensive range of coatings to protect against corrosion in all types of environment. Works can either be carried out at our paint shop which is located on Queens Road, Belfast, or on site if required.

The range of services we offer include

Surface Preparation

This can be carried out in one of our three blast rooms or alternatively in our fully automated blasting chamber. A range of blast media is available including shot, grit and glass bead to suit project specific requirements.

Hot Metal Spray

As a protective system for structural steelwork, hot metal spray is unsurpassed. It is the only coating system recommended by International and European Standards EN ISO 14713, as giving greater than 20 years to first maintenance in very aggressive environments. HBS Protective Coatings can offer either aluminium or zinc hot metal spray to suit client requirements.

Liquid Roofing

Cold liquid applied polyurethane provides a seamless barrier that will bond to virtually any roof substrate providing a solution to the problem of long term waterproofing of roofs. The coating is applied by our trained operatives and will deliver up to 25 years to first full maintenance. HBS can provide the complete service including site survey, specification and quality controlled installation.

Industrial Paint Systems

These are normally applied using airless spray which provides a uniform, aesthetically pleasing finish. HBS Protective Coatings can offer paint systems from all the major system suppliers. These include –

• Intumescent Coatings

Quality Control

Our goal for each and every project is zero defects. The specification will be agreed with the client in advance of work commencing and continual monitoring of the materials and work processes will ensure that a quality product is delivered to our clients. HBS Protective Coatings have their own in house, ICorr Registered Inspector who carries out regular inspections on all schemes. Independent inspections by clients or their appointed inspectors are also very welcome.
