HBS can also supply various decorative / bespoke parapets.  Depending on your requirements, various containment levels and working widths are available.  They can be manufactured in steel or aluminium and various surface finishes are possible.

Bann River Bridge Portadown is a listed bridge and was refurbished by Farrans Construction in 2006.  HBS was awarded the subcontract for the manufacture of a bespoke, decorative parapet in keeping with the prestigious structure.  The project was completed in July 2007.

VGAN 300 Series Parapet is becoming more and more popular on feature bridges.  Tested and approved to the American AASHTO Standard.  Systems complying with the AASHTO 17th addition standard do not require dynamic testing.  Their performance is proven by calculation.  Our range of parapets conforming to AASHTO 17th addition offer aesthetically pleasing systems and as they are constructed from aluminium they offer sustainability.
