The Highways Agency and Northern Irelands Department of Regional Development (Roads Service), in close consultation with the Health and Safety Executive have developed the Sector Scheme documents (NRA are currently considering adopting the standard). These are basically industry requirements to establish high standards for companies undertaking works on the Highway infrastructure.
Within the Sector Scheme 12 documents are four subsections:
- 12A and 12B cover traffic management relating to high speed dual carriageways and motorways
- 12C covers mobile lane closures
- 12D (supercedes unit 2 and 10 of Streetworks.)
HBS have the capabilities to provide Traffic Management for all 12A/B (Motorway / High Speed Dual Carriageway) projects including:
- Contraflows
- Narrow Lane Systems
- Lane closures
- Full closures
